Our PHILOSOPHY

For us, photographing and filming weddings isn't so much about the event, but preserving the experience & emotion felt on the day.

Many times throughout life, while we can recount certain events taking place - it can be extremely difficult to re-feel those specific moments. Whether it be thinking back to a precious memory growing up, or that amazing overseas trip you took - imagine being able to get that feeling back, even just for a moment. Getting as close to this feeling as possible, is what we do. 

Your wedding is certainly one of the most exciting, adventurous, emotional, & yet fleeting moments. Through visual storytelling, we can help preserve these moments for many years & decades to come.

What inspires us

Being brothers, we did almost everything together - and still do today - so starting our own business together came about naturally.

We share a love for cinematography, story-driven films, & musical scores - which serves as a significant inspiration for capturing unique stories today. Over the years our love for business & value creation has grown, helping us develop our service and serve our couples better & in more exciting ways.

Meeting new people & travelling to exciting destinations is a fulfilling experience for us, which is why we love telling unique stories through weddings & elopments.

BEHIND THE LENS

Natural & unobtrusive is not only how we describe our films but simply how we approach capturing your wedding day. Every couple has a different dynamic & vibe, so we always aim to get get on your level! Depending on the day & the wedding, you'll see us anywhere from blending into the background, quietly capturing it all - to revving up the bridal party getting soaked in cheap champagne! 

We are here to help your day run smooth & effortless - after 8 years of shooting weddings, we have a tonne of experience with helping you have the time of your life. From helping you get ready before the ceremony, to joining you on the dance-floor, we are your guide, your friend, & party starter throughout the whole day!

You wont find us carrying truckloads of gear or using over-the-top equipment. Instead, we like to stay minimal & discreet - while being there to capture all the best moments you would otherwise miss. 

If you're camera shy, no need to worry! We don't like to take ourselves too seriously and never like to stage any awkward poses. We will help you both be super comfortable, have some fun & just be yourselves.

Our FAV THINGS

When we aren't working, we love getting outdoors and exploring. You'll find us taking our dogs for a run at the beach on a warm evening - or swimming with sharks through our love for free-diving at a nearby bay. 

When we need some time to recalibrate after a busy wedding season, planning overnight hikes in the Snowy Mountains or camping on remote islands in far north QLD is a favourite adventure of ours.

Vegan donuts are our go-to sweet treat and will never pass one up (or any vegan food) at a wedding! We will even go as far as making them at home - yep, we will do anything to get our hands on donuts! 

Most of all, we absolutely love thinking of new business ideas, products & services that we would love to try in the future. Our mutual passion for business has helped us grow Two Folk Films into what it is today - allowing us to tell some incredible stories (and hopefully yours too!)
